Microsoft today announces that it is expanding the availability of the Surface Book 2 to include all the markets where it now sells Surface devices. Launched in both 13- and 15-inch versions, the larger and more powerful Surface Book 2 15-inch variant has only been available in the USA until now. The 15-inch notebook is only available in Core i7-8650U with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) GPU. The laptop will be available in other Surface markets later this year. The 13.5-inch laptop features a PixelSense Display with a screen resolution of 3000x2000 pixels, however, the 15-inch Surface Book 2 comes with the resolution of 3240x2160 pixels.

While the 13-inch model was available in select markets, the larger 15-inch model was only available in the USA so far. Since the Surface Book 2 has a unique detachable hinge design, it can used in tablet and stand mode. Both the variants have an aspect ratio of 3:2 and Microsoft claims 17 hours of video playback, which is 70 per cent more than what the MacBook Pro offers. With an eight-gen Intel CPU and NVIDIA 1060 graphics, it's certainly powerful, and incredibly light for a hybrid laptop/tablet at 4.2 pounds. On the connectivity front, the devices come with USB type C port, two USB type A ports and SD card slot.
