Super Bowl Odds: Patriots Favored Heading into Divisional Round 1/7/18

The NFC North winners, Minnesota Vikings (13-3, ) face the NFC South champions, New Orleans Saints (12-5).

In the AFC, with a healthy Pittsburgh Steelers team, Arians expects them to make the big game, but believes Atlanta will be victorious. Super Bowl that is, not great Seinfeld episode. The top seed in each conference, the Patriots and Eagles, had some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Since that time, the once high-functioning Philadelphia offense has slowed to the rate of a leaking faucet. A sign of the changing National Football League landscape is that two teams from the previously laughable AFC South are among the final eight teams in this year's playoffs. Below are the probabilities to win each game this weekend.

There is quite the financial benefit to hosting the Super Bowl and playing in it as well for the Vikings. The victor in their upcoming match for their Divisional Round will face the victor in the match-up between Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Jan. 14. The Eagles lost star quarterback Carson Wentz to a season-ending Week 14 ACL injury and that has dramatically changed oddsmakers' view of them.

The defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots are plus-200 favorites to win the Super Bowl, followed by the Vikings at plus-375, while the Steelers are next at plus-500.

No surprise, the Steelers have the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl in the AFC behind the Patriots.

The victor in the semi-final match will be pitted against the victor of the American Football Conference, where the Pittsburgh Steelers will face Jacksonville Jaguars while New England Patriots will play against the Tennessee Titans in their respective divisions.

The Jaguars are plus-1800 and the Titans are plus-5000, making them the longest shot on the board.

While reports claimed that no team managed to win the Super Bowl while playing in their home stadium, the Vikings reportedly has a good chance to break that record if they manage to win in their upcoming matches. Los Angeles had the shortest odds to win Super Bowl LII of that quartet at +900.

That will set up a Pittsburgh-Minnesota Super Bowl, and that's a rematch of Super Bowl IX.

This time, it's the Vikings with the better defense, and that unit coupled with the Minnesota's home-field advantage, will lead the way to the franchise's first Super Bowl victory. On Sunday, we will see which team in this coin flip heads to the NFC championship game.
