Sony To Launch New Android Smartphones On Feb. 26 At MWC 2018

The Sony Xperia XZ Pro will come with a 5.7 inch display with a 4K resolution and the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Popping up on Chinese website MyDrivers, the leaked images show a handset with the traditional rectangular shape of previous Xperia phones but now sporting a bezel-eating display that runs nearly edge-to-edge, with the website claiming it will have a 5.7-inch 4K OLED panel.

There's still time for the official news to be out, but Sony Xperia XZ Pro is already gaining huge attention. That said, it does make sense that Sony will reveal new phones at MWC, so expect to see something from the company at the tailend of February.

Moving on from the new design and display, Sony is going to impress with a massive camera upgrade. All of this is said to be packaged inside an IP68 dust and water resistant body. It will also come with 6GB of RAM and a range of storage options.

Speculation on a new Sony flagship smartphone has been around for a while - since the end of 2017 - but it's ramping up now Barcelona's Mobile World Congress is on the horizon.

The Sony Xperia XZ Pro is expected soon.

Also, the price of the Sony Xperia XZ Pro is expected to be around 6,000 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 59,550. It's said to have a dual camera setup consisting of a 18MP shooter with a 1.33μm pixel size and a 12MP camera with a 1.38μm pixel size. Up front, a 13-megapixel camera for video calling and selfies.

Rumours are rife about a new Xperia flagship Sony is about to unveil at MWC 2018 next month.
