Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users can manually check for the update by going into the Settings menu and then tapping on Software update option.

Coming to the new and more exciting stuff, the S9 will feature a 12MP super speed dual pixel camera with optical image stablisation.

Samsung was present at the recently held Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 to not only unveil new devices such as smart TVs, computers and home appliances, but also to reveal its first foldable smartphones to select clients through a private meeting.

As for the specifications and features, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are said to retain the Infinity Display design language as well as the that were introduced with last year's flagships. This rumour also suggests that there will more differences between the regular and the Plus model than just the screen size and dual rear camera setup, as was previously believed.

The mobile boss also said that Bixby 2.0 will be launched within the year and stressed that all Samsung devices will support the virtual assistant by 2020. Well, as there are two apertures mentioned, it seems the camera will be able to switch between apertures depending on the lighting conditions, something similar to what we have seen on Samsung's W2018 flip-phone. The rear setup seems similar to what Samsung offered in its W2018 flip phone previous year.

The specs including Super AMOLED panel with Quad HD+ resolution, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 8 MP front camera and wireless charging.

An interesting surprise is its stereo speakers that are tuned by AKG.

The Galaxy S9 could put a real focus on photography. One change that's likely to make the cut in the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is a repositioned fingerprint scanner.
