Real Madrid dominate UEFA fans' team of 2017; PSG's Neymar misses out

Chelsea and Manchester City are the two English clubs represented but it is European champions Real Madrid who unsurprisingly dominate the selection.

European football's governing body announced its annual Team of the Year on Thursday, after nearly 8.8 million votes were cast by users on UEFA's official website.

Football enthusiasts from around the world voted to pick the stellar eleven with 2 players from the Premier League, two from the Serie A and one from the French Ligue 1.

Paris Saint Germain stars; Neymar Jr Da Silva and Kylian Mbappe as well as Tottenham's Harry Kane were not picked for the team.

Keylor Navas, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Casemiro, Isco, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Marco Asensio, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo deservedly make the list after an incredible campaign in the Champions League.

Other top players included in the team are Kevin de Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Toni Kroos. Representatives of the UEFA.com Fans' Team of the Year will present the donation to the ICRC at an upcoming UEFA Champions League match.

A total 8,779,639 votes were recorded to rake up Messi for the 9th time straight in 10 years and Ronaldo for record 11th straight time.

Nearly 8.8million fans voted in this year's poll to pick the UEFA Team of the Year, and the governing body has revealed some shock results.
