President Trump reportedly refers to Haiti, African nations as s***hole countries

The United Nations human rights office rejected as 'racist' and inciting xenophobia the reported remarks by US President Donald Trump describing immigrants from Africa and Haiti as coming from 'shithole' countries

"His decision to use profanity to describe African, Central American and Caribbean countries is not only a low mark for this President, it is a low point for our nation", the black civil rights group said in a statement.

Jordan Klepper discusses Trump on his satirical Comedy Central program, "The Opposition", on Thursday. It's a dignity many in this White House could learn from.

The White House seemed to be in a fix over Trump's remark, as they neither denied that the President had used the derogatory phrase nor did they confirm it.

The comment is "believed" to have referred to immigrants from Haiti and some African countries. Trump reportedly said. "Take them out". Made up by Dems. "I want a merit-based system of immigration and people who will help take our country to the next level. Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!"

Meanwhile, Marc Short, the White House director of legislative affairs, told reporters on Capitol Hill that negotiators still had a "ways to go". The Internet all but exploded with comments of criticism about the offensive remarks.

"First thing that came to my mind was: Very unfortunate, unhelpful", he said. I do not think this way, nor do I agree with this kind of sentiment. I thought about my own family.

Mr Trump said the bipartisan immigration proposal is "a big step backwards" because it does not fund a wall along the Mexican border, and claimed it would force the USA "to take large numbers of people from high crime countries which are doing badly". Trump said, according the Post.

"The president will only accept an immigration deal that adequately addresses the visa lottery system and chain migration - two programs that hurt our country and allow terrorists into our country", White House spokesman Raj Shah said in a statement. It's also hilarious that Trump can't wrap his head around why people from Norway, the happiest country in the world, with a robust social safety net and nationalized health care, wouldn't want to move here. It protects individuals from deportation, allowing them to work in the US. Mr. Trump said, the Post reported, citing people familiar with the meeting. The policy change could affect almost 60,000 Haitians who fled to the US following a devastating natural disaster in 2010. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina; Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas; David Perdue, R-Georgia, Dick Durbin, D-Illinois; and Reps.

When lawmakers brought up protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries, Trump asked, "Why are we having all these people from s--hole countries come here?"

"Before I share what specifically he said, I would like you to keep in mind this is an actual quote from the actual president of the United States", Kimmel said while opening his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on ABC.

Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont, who wasn't in the meeting, in a tweet called the president's remarks, "Breathtakingly offensive". "You really got us good".

Donald Trump often struggles to remember what he supports when it comes to the nitty-gritty details of policy.

"Why not? He's president of the United States, that's why we're talking about it". She later thanked the handful of nations that voted with the United States and the larger group that abstained.
