OnePlus 6 confirmed for June launch with Snapdragon 845 SoC

OnePlus Will Start Talking to US Carriers, Confirms that Next OnePlus Phone will Launch in Q2

Recently, OnePlus launched the Lava Red Limited Edition of its OnePlus 5T smartphone in India. The Chinese smartphone brand has grown up to be a major global brand since their inception in 2014.

Not much is known, other than the flagship processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 845. It will be launched only if there is any new feature in the market which is not available on the OnePlus 6.

As per the reports we have gathered so far, OnePlus 6 is said to FullView screen with 18:9 aspect ratio to offer rich cinematic view similar to OnePlus 5T, but key difference is that the former will come with most advanced in-display fingerprint sensor, thereby making capacity metal-clad physical buttons, which are seen in current crop of flagship phones, obsolete. He did not confirm on the name of the next flagship phone from OnePlus, but the naming pattern that it has been using for its smartphones suggests that it will be launching as OnePlus 6.

Like previous iterations, OnePlus 6 is also expected to come with a cost-effective price tag, nearly half of what top branded phones cost. Waterproofing is also expected along with wireless charging. There's no doubting OnePlus is the hippest smartphone manufacturer of recent times. Thus, OnePlus is losing a huge chunk of revenue and can potentially sell millions of devices with carrier partnership, if provided the right opportunity and right timing.

Apart from this feature, the OnePlus 6 might come with an under-glass fingerprint scanner too. In addition, Lau said that OnePlus would start talking with USA carriers this year about selling its devices through one or more stateside wireless operators.

Analysts project that about 85% to 95% of people in the USA buy their smartphones through their carrier. While such a partnership can pose risks like slow updates, it would allow OnePlus to become known among the mainstream US smartphone market.
