John Cena Makes His Big Announcement

John Cena joins new ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ series

John Cena gets a famously passionate mixed response from WWE fans every time he hits the stage, but he remains a huge draw for younger fans. Zarghami added that asking Cena to host the awards last year and this year was an easy decision both times.

It was announced today that John Cena will be returning to host Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards this year.

The show will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, California on March 24. Expect this character to be in a number of episodes since Draxum will be one of the show's recurring villains.

John is also attached to two more projects at Nickelodeon - lending his voice to a reimagined "Rise Of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated series as well as executive producing the new competition series, "Keep It Spotless". "And to top it all off, I'm stepping behind the camera to executive produce Nick's new competition series Keep It Spotless, which gives a whole new meaning to staying clean". After each game, a 360-degree scanner will measure each teams' mess to determine just how clean they really are.

We're probably most excited to hear Cena on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Turtles, but then again, we're not the target audience for the other projects. The series is produced by ITV Entertainment and Hard Nocks South, based on a United Kingdom format from Possessed.

Cena joins an already impressive cast on the series that includes Ben Schwartz (DuckTales), Omar Miller (Ballers), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Brandon Mychal Smith (You're The Worst) and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries)-who will lend her voice to the first African-American portrayal of April O'Neil.
